Our most recent project was a rather large one, with our clients asking for a garden office, a single story extension to the rear of the property, as well as the removal of all ground floor walls to create an open plan kitchen and roomy living area. In addition, they also wanted a garage conversion to allow for a downstairs shower room, utility room and second reception area!
At Harland Building Services, we have specialists of all trades, so we began by getting our architect to carry out a full site survey. From this we produced a set of existing plans, which enabled us to get a good idea of the property before finding out exactly what the client required.
Our next point of action was to discuss and agree a budget and timescale for the work. With the clients needs in mind, we then developed a set of proposed plans for our client to approve.
All of the proposed plans we produce at Harland Building Services are highly detailed and considerate of neighbours and other restrictions, which is why our clients are more often than not, likely to approve.
This was certainly the case in this Sidcup extension project, and so we went ahead and submitted the plans to Bexley council for planning approve. Within a matter of weeks, we’d received permission and agreed a start/completion date with the client.
Much like many of our clients here at Harland Building Services, this client was thrilled with the work we carried out and was delighted to find that we deal with all of the above stages, from drawing up designs to contacting authorities on their behalf.

Both spaces were small, especially the bathroom, but we managed to make the most of it and even incorporated a double sink. At Harland Building Services our work is not limited to residential and our recent project preparing a concrete pour at Ilford Traincare Depot for Greater Angila trains displays this well.
